Yellow River Performing Arts

Yellow River Performing Arts (YRPA), founded in 1995, is a non-profit organization registered in the State of Illinois. YRPA consists of three groups: Chorus, Dance and Chinese Musical Instruments, with a total membership of approximately 70 people.

1996 - "Solo & Trio of Chinese Musical Instruments"

1998 - The chartity performance to help the people who lost their homes and land in the 1998 flood disaster in China.

2001 - chartity performance for "Yellow River Hope Elementary School" in JiuJiang of JiangXi province.

2002 - "Golden Autumn Love" - a well-known legendary Chinese love story

In addition to the above successful performances, YRPA also held music seminars in many colleges in Chicago area. For three consecutive years, YRPA has been recongized by America Cultural Exchange Association as one of the top ten outstanding organ-izations in the Midwest for its active participation in the cultural activities.

In order to continuously improve the members' performance skills to higher levels, several professionals have been invited to join the YRPA as instructors. As a result of the hard work by all the members, YRPA is now an experienced and influential art performing organization.

YRPA welcomes all who are interested in performing arts, to join the group to promote cultural exchange between the USA and China. As an YRPA member, you will benefit not only from learning arts and music performing to show your talents, but also from making more friends and being a more active part of our community.
